Welcome to HR Collier

Whether you are new to the HR field or have many years of experience, we are a local starting point for networking, information, professional development and continued support of excellence in Human Resources!

HR Collier provides monthly meetings with speakers, educational programs, Tri-County Conference, and numerous opportunities to network with human resource professionals. If you are not already a member of our chapter, click here for information on joining. As a reminder, all memberships are individual-based (not company-based) in accordance to SHRM guidelines.

We are always looking for VOLUNTEERS! Serving as a volunteer is a great way to give back to the HR community and to network with your peers. It is also a great way to use skills you already have or to develop a new skill you need. Contact our current President for more information at:president@hrcollier.org.

We welcome your use of this site as a resource, and encourage you to check back frequently for updated information. We also encourage your involvement and suggestions about all of our activities, on the web and off.

Jace Kentner was born and raised in southwest Missouri.  He was an entrepreneur at a young age.  He earned his Bachelor of Science, Public Administration, from Missouri State University. The University of Kansas School of Medicine awarded him a Master of Health Services Administration with a concentration in healthcare outcomes management and research.  He also earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Drake University Law School, where he served on the Executive Editorial Board and as Secretary of the Drake Law Journal.

Jace was admitted to the Iowa and Missouri Bars and practiced law for 20 years. He sold his law practice and moved to sunny southwest Florida.  His true love is transactional work involving businesses at all stages. He represented many start-ups, mid-sized companies, and Fortune listed companies. His prowess in the board room was founded on a wealth of diverse corporate law experience and business acumen

He attained national fame when he represented workers exposed to artificial butter flavorings. A passionate defender of the underdog, Jace’s efforts resulted in sweeping industry changes for safer work environments for food workers.

Jace began his tenure leading the economic development efforts in Collier County, Florida, in January 2016 after working for the county since 2014. He enjoys the challenge of bringing economic diversity to the paradise coast. He enjoys meeting with entrepreneurs and sharing his experience and insights.

This program is pending approval by HRCI for 1 General credit and pre-approved by SHRM for 1 PDC.
