June General Membership Meeting

HR Collier Meeting Announcement

ACA Reporting & 226J IRS Letter

This will be an abridged version of CE# 108510, which Susan Luskin gives on the IRS penalty Letter 226J and related forms. It stresses the 30-day response time allowed by the IRS, as well as details how to respond appropriately. Furthermore, it covers the various ways the IRS can address your 226J response.

Attendees will gain an understanding of why a 226J penalty letter is sent out, as well as what is involved in crafting a proper response. It also details the way the IRS can address a company’s 226J response.

Benjamin Davis is Diversified Administration’s Vice President in charge of IRS and DOL compliance. He and his team of experts prepare all of the Form 5500 Filings for Health and Welfare Benefit Plans, as well as the 1094 and 1095 filings required by the Affordable Care Act. Most recently, he has been spearheading the Letter 226J Responses and assisting clients who received a Letter 5699 because they completely failed to file their ACA reporting with the IRS.

In addition to being a proud member of the Palm Beach Association of Health Underwriters, he has received NAHU’s coveted Benefits Technology Certification, and is currently pursuing his CEBS designation, as well as an a degree in Business Administration, which will allow him to continue serving his clients and community dutifully and consistently.

This program is pending approval by HRCI for 1 General credit and pre-approved by SHRM for 1 PDC.

Not sure of the benefits of attending the 2019 HR Florida State Conference?

Let the HR Florida team show you why you can't miss out!

2nd Annual HR Florida 5K
6:00 PM

We all remember it was hot last year, so we took your advice and will be hosting this event starting at 6pm on Sunday August 25, 2019. This year’s event will take place at the beautiful Falcon’s Fire Golf Course located just minutes away from the Gaylord Palms (transportation will be provided).

This is an easy, fun event where participants can walk or run.

(FYI: 5K = 3.1 miles. If you walk a 20-minute mile, it will take just over 1 hour to complete) through a great golf course with amazing scenery.

We encourage you, your friends, and family to participate and fund-raise. (You do not have to attend the conference to participate in the 5K or to donate to this year's charity, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention).
